Celebrating 125 years of "God with Us"
Immanuel Lutheran Church
The Men of Immanuel Lutheran Church is a group that gathers together for fellowship and the study of God’s word. Many of our activities sponsor events which bring parish families together in the name of Jesus. We are men dedicated to assisting our church and our church family. Acts 2:24 “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer”.
The Women of Immanuel is a part of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML). We meet every other month for Bible study and fellowship. On Wednesday afternoons, a group of women meets together to sew quilts to send to needy people. There are five joint meetings each year to conduct business, choose mission projects, and have a program.
The Young at Heart (YAH) is for the young at heart members of Immanuel. We meet the first Thursday of the month, except in July. We have no officers or rules for our meetings. At the meeting we might plan to have pizza, a potluck, brown bag it or have no meal and instead, have watermelon and a seed spitting contest, or have ice cream. We might play bingo or solve word puzzles, or have speakers to give us information on subjects of interest to us.
